Fitz earned the rare distinction of being in the top varsity choir during her seventh-grade year. “Deanna is very humble and will not brag on herself, but she is a fabulously talented singer,” said nominating principal, Dr. Laura Perry. Dr. Perry also credited Fitz for being a positive person who strives to encourage others. “She stands up for other people to ensure that everyone is treated with respect. She is also a very self-motivated individual who works hard to become the best person she can be,” Dr. Perry said.
